What's in ... Derry?

Binevenagh Mountain, east of Lough Foyle, shows classic landslide features formed as ice erosion undercut and destabilised the steep rock slopes. The landslides are developed in Tertiary basalts overlying chalk and Jurassic/Triassic rocks. The magnificent views from Binevenagh include the arcuate shingle beaches of Magilligan Point.
