abdomen black with paired blue markings, thorax markedly downy, abdomen not waisted, antehumeral stripes narrow and green
Common Hawker (Aeshna juncea)
abdomen black with paired blue and yellow markings, abdomen waisted, antehumeral stripes narrow and yellow
Southern Hawker (Aeshna cyanea)
abdomen black with green markings, segments 9 & 10 markings blue, waisted abdomen, antehumeral stripes broad and green
Migrant Hawker (Aeshna mixta)
abdomen black with blue markings, yellow golf tee-shaped marking on second abdominal segment, antehumeral stripes reduced
