These two Willow Warblers were caught in the morning of 20th April 2004. The bird on the left is of the cool form acredula almost without yellow on the underparts and with very grey upperparts. It contrasted markedly with the very yellow form of trochilus on the right that is very typical of Irish birds.
A more detailed look at the three plumage variations of Willow Warblers regularly found on Copeland in Spring is presented in the photo gallery, along with a spring Chiffchaff for comparison.
