Conservation internships 2008 - Educational stipend of £14,750 p.a.

Icon is offering a further 10 work-based internships of 6, 12 and 24 months’ duration as part of its innovative HLF-funded conservation training bursaries scheme for September 2008. All graduates from the first year of the scheme have been successful in finding employment or further training in the field. The scheme aims to broaden access to careers in conservation and to increase the UK’s fund of conservation skills. Some placements (*) are open to new entrants to conservation from arts, crafts, science or heritage backgrounds. Others are specifically for those who have recently graduated from a conservation course.

6 MONTHS:
Belfast Natural Sciences Conservation  (Ref 08/09*)
Guildhall Art Gallery, London – Conservation of Frames (Ref 08/10*)
24 MONTHS:
Blickling – Conservation of Tapestry (Ref 08/11)
